Fight Against the Draconic Forces in Dragonkin: The Banished
NACON has released a free major update for Dragonkin: The Banished, bringing a wealth of new content and quality-of-life improvements to its hack-and-slash RPG. Titled Dracomundus Purgatory, the update introduces cross-play support, a challenging new endgame mode, and a fresh weapon progression system, giving both new and veteran players more reasons to return to the battlefield.
One of the biggest additions is full cross-play, allowing players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S to team up without platform restrictions. The update also adds City Transfer, letting players freely move their online city to offline mode and back again, ensuring progress continues whether they’re playing solo or with friends.
The centerpiece of the update is Dracomundus Purgatory, a new endgame activity that becomes available through a portal after completing an endgame hunt. In this mode, players race against the clock across three randomly selected islands from a pool of more than 50 locations. Destroying Draconic Altars along the way grants valuable extra time, while surviving until the final island leads to a showdown against the fearsome Champion of Purgatory, with the chance to earn powerful Voracious weapons.
These new Voracious weapons introduce unique passive abilities that can significantly change a character’s playstyle. Players can also sacrifice other weapons to strengthen them, transfer powerful traits, and customize affixes through a new reinforcement system, making it easier to craft gear that complements their preferred build.
With new challenges, deeper customization, and seamless multiplayer, this new update will keep dragon hunters busy for quite some time.
