SiN: Reloaded Is Arriving This Year on PC and Consoles

The Dystopian World Awaits Once More in SiN: Reloaded

Nightdive Studios has confirmed that SiN: Reloaded will arrive in 2026 for PC and consoles. The upcoming title is a remaster of the 1998 cult favorite first-person shooter SiN, rebuilt with improved visuals and modernized gameplay systems. Along with the base game, the new release will also include the Wages of SiN expansion mission pack, bringing the complete experience to modern platforms.

SiN: Reloaded

The story takes place in a dystopian near future. Players step into the role of Colonel John R. Blade, a security consultant determined to stop the dangerous plans of Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. As the powerful CEO of SinTEK Industries, Sinclaire begins spreading a DNA-altering drug across the city, creating chaos and unleashing mutated enemies. Blade must confront this threat and fight through an army of genetically engineered creatures.

The original game became notable for pushing the Quake II engine to impressive limits while introducing a high level of environmental interaction. Players could access computer terminals using DOS-style commands, manipulate elevators and security cameras, and move through stages in several vehicles, such as forklifts, patrol boats, and helicopters. Actions during missions could also influence how later events unfolded, allowing for branching paths throughout the campaign.

Combat also stood out for its time, featuring mechanics like shooting weapons out of enemies’ hands and targeting different body areas. In the included Wages of SiN expansion, Blade faces a powerful mafia leader commanding another group of dangerous mutants.

The remaster uses Nightdive’s KEX Engine, delivering upgraded textures, refined maps, and modern control schemes while preserving the spirit of the original experience. SiN: Reloaded is planned for release on Windows PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
