Reclaim the Golden Fleece in Bubsy 4D
Atari and indie studio Fabraz have officially launched Bubsy 4D, bringing the long-running mascot back into the spotlight with a brand-new 3D adventure. The game is now available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, priced at $19.99.
Bubsy 4D marks the character’s first full 3D outing in decades, blending classic platforming roots with modern movement systems. The game leans heavily into colorful visuals and expressive animation, aiming to balance nostalgic appeal with smoother, more fluid gameplay. Bubsy’s signature humor also returns, adding a playful tone throughout the experience.
In this latest adventure, Bubsy sets out to reclaim the Golden Fleece, which has been stolen by the robotic BaaBots. Players will travel across a variety of alien worlds, each designed with a unique fabric and craft-inspired theme. The gameplay focuses on running, jumping, gliding, and rolling through levels, with each planet culminating in a boss encounter.
Customization and progression play a key role. Players can unlock new outfits, discover hidden blueprints that grant additional abilities, and compete in online time trials using ghost data. Familiar characters such as Terri, Terry, Virgil, and Oblivia also return, alongside a lively soundtrack composed by Fat Bard.
Alongside the digital release, a physical collector’s edition is available through Atari’s store. It includes a cartridge version of the game, a collector’s box, a user manual, a poster, and an art book, offering fans a more complete package tied to Bubsy’s return.
