Raise the Stakes in Poker Night at the Inventory
Poker Night at the Inventory has returned in a newly remastered release, and players can jump back into the classic poker showdown starting today. Skunkape Games has launched the updated version on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, bringing the beloved crossover title to modern platforms after years of absence.
The game takes place in The Inventory, a secret underground social club with a long fictional history. According to the game’s lore, the club first opened in 1919 during the early push for prohibition, inspired by the 18th Amendment. At the time, lawmakers also threatened to outlaw various forms of entertainment. In response, The Inventory emerged as a hidden speakeasy where guests could gather to play games and unwind. Over the decades, the venue built a reputation for its Texas Hold’em tournaments. The regulars famously described the place as the “Citizen Kane of poker games.”
Telltale Games originally introduced players to this unusual poker table in 2010. The title stood out for bringing together characters from several popular web series and games. Players faced off against Max from Sam & Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, Tycho Brahe from Penny Arcade, and the Heavy from Team Fortress 2. Their banter, personalities, and unlockable items quickly made the game a cult favorite.
Now, Skunkape Games has revived the experience with a remastered version developed with help from members of the original team. The updated release lets players once again sit down at The Inventory’s famous table. So, go ahead and compete against its memorable lineup of opponents.
The remaster is available now for $9.99 USD across all supported platforms.
