Show Some Love for Lawn Mowing Simulator 2
Skyhook Games has officially kicked off the Kickstarter campaign for Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, inviting players to help shape the future of the upcoming sequel. The campaign is now live and will run through April 23, with an initial funding goal set at £15,000. Several stretch goals have already been outlined, including additional in-game equipment, new locations, and even the possibility of a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Backers can choose from a variety of tiers, starting with a digital copy of the game on their preferred platform at launch. Early supporters will also receive exclusive in-game items and have their names featured in the credits. Higher-tier options offer the chance to dedicate in-game items, while the top-tier backer gets the unique opportunity to name the town where the game takes place.
The team plans to release the sequel later this year on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is building it from the ground up with a focus on improving realism and gameplay. There will be a new grass technology system that promises more natural-looking lawns and smoother mowing mechanics, making the experience more immersive and satisfying.
One of the most requested additions, the leaf blower, is also coming as well, giving players a new tool as they begin a fresh lawn care career set in the United States.
Skyhook Games has spent the past year reviewing feedback from the original title and recently self-funded a major quality-of-life update along with the “Heritage Park” DLC. With the Kickstarter campaign, the studio aims to involve the community more directly while continuing to fund development through to release.
