Going Medieval Is Going 1.0
Indie developer Foxy Voxel and publisher Mythwright have officially announced that their medieval survival colony sim Going Medieval will leave Early Access and fully launch on March 12th. The 1.0 release will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
After selling more than one million copies during its Early Access run, Going Medieval is preparing to enter its next phase with what the team describes as its most complete and polished version yet. Set in a post-plague world where civilization has collapsed, and nature has reclaimed the land, the game tasks players with rebuilding society from the ground up.
Players guide a group of survivors, construct detailed multi-level settlements using freeform building tools, and manage every aspect of medieval life. From crafting equipment and researching technologies to building chapels, workshops, libraries, and heavily fortified defenses, the game blends city-building, survival strategy, and tactical combat in a dynamic sandbox environment. Settlements must also withstand raids from bandits and threats from the wild, adding constant pressure to expand and defend wisely.
The 1.0 update introduces several major additions, including a new Renown system, campaign-concluding Grand Objectives, new settler roles, additional buildings and items, and a broad range of quality-of-life improvements shaped by community feedback.
With its full release now locked in for March 12th, Going Medieval is ready to move beyond Early Access. Players can also check out the demo on Steam ahead of launch.
