Kaiju Cleanup Will Have Full Co-Op Support When It Comes Out in 2026.

Call Your Crew for the Kaiju Cleanup Operation

Co-op support is officially coming to the monster-themed cleaning sim Kaiju Cleanup. Mythwright and Brightrock Games shared that the entire game will feature full online co-op when it arrives on Steam in 2026, giving players a chance to clear large-scale destruction together from start to finish.

Kaiju Cleanup

The game can be completed alone or with a group of two to four players. Each mission places the crew in ruined zones where the remains of massive creatures dominate the landscape. Teams carve through fallen Kaiju, remove dangerous substances, and deal with layers of debris that spread across city blocks. Players will get to tackle every task with their friends, creating a shared routine of slicing, scraping, and restoring order.

They can wash away the mess as a pair, work as a confident trio, or bring a full team to manage the aftermath of towering beasts. Co-operation is essential while moving through contaminated areas, since one careless mistake can create new problems for the group. Avoiding friendly harm keeps the workflow manageable and prevents additional cleanup during tense moments.

Stuart Morton, Publishing Director at Mythwright, explained that expanding the game with full co op support reflects the strongest request from the community. The project has gathered more than 130,000 Steam wishlists since its reveal in September. This shows a clear interest in the concept and the style of play. The team plans to share more information as development moves toward launch next year.

Anyone interested can join the future cleanup effort by signing up for an upcoming playtest and adding the game to their Steam Wishlist.
