Second Stone Has Released Its Debut Trailer During IGN Fan Fest

Take a Look at the Second Stone

IGN’s Fan Fest spotlighted a new look at Second Stone, as Skyward Entertainment premiered an exclusive developer-commented gameplay trailer for its upcoming action-RPG.

In the video, Creative Director Miko Kiuru and Game Designer Anton Söderberg walk players through the studio’s creative vision. They talked about its key inspirations and the design philosophy shaping the game. They outline how Second Stone blends classic action-RPG elements with modern mechanics to create a fast, fluid, and story-driven experience.

Second Stone follows Shiren, a young treasure hunter from Arimaya Village who sets out to uncover the truth behind a mysterious dark world hidden alongside her own. Players shift between two interconnected realms, combining fast-paced combat with agile platforming. All while progressing through a nostalgic yet fresh hero’s journey.

Combat emphasizes mobility and momentum. Players chain together dynamic movement, fluid traversal, and environmental puzzle-solving to keep encounters engaging and varied. A modular build system allows players to fuse elemental stones into unique abilities. Then they can slot them into gear to craft a personalized combat style.

Between adventures, players return to a lively village hub where they can upgrade equipment, accept quests from townsfolk, and relax with a dice-battler minigame. Beyond the village lies a vibrant overworld and its dangerous mirror counterpart, filled with rare artifacts and hidden threats. For those seeking greater challenges, procedural labyrinth dungeons deliver rogue-like runs with ever-changing layouts and high-value rewards, encouraging repeated exploration and mastery.

Players can wishlist Second Stone on Steam right now to get updated on its future developments.
