Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Soars Onto PC and Consoles on March 4, 2027

Almost Time to Fight the Demons in Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember

KOEI TECMO and Team NINJA have officially announced that Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the highly anticipated action RPG, will launch worldwide on March 4, 2027. The sequel is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC, and Steam, and will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. A brand-new trailer has also debuted alongside the announcement, while players can jump into a limited-time Alpha Demo starting today.

Set in 208 AD after the events of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the story throws players into a war-torn China where Cao Cao’s invasion has left villages in ruins and demons roam freely. Driven by revenge, the new protagonist joins forces with legendary figures including Liu Bei, Sun Quan, and Pang Tong as the conflict builds toward the iconic Battle of Red Cliffs.

The sequel raises the stakes with sprawling open battlefields inspired by historic Three Kingdoms battles such as Changban and Red Cliffs. Team NINJA has also evolved its signature combat by introducing Insight Skills, giving players new ways to evade attacks, use the terrain strategically, and launch devastating aerial counterattacks in fast, high-intensity battles.

Available until September 30, 2026, the free Alpha Demo lets players explore the open field of Changban, create an in-progress character, and tackle online co-op with up to three players. Completing the demo unlocks the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet for the full game.

With larger battlefields, faster combat, and a darker take on the Three Kingdoms, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is already shaping up to be one of Team NINJA’s most ambitious action RPGs yet.
