Vultures – Scavengers of Death Is Launching a Steam Demo on 12 February 2026

Enter a Ruined City in Vultures – Scavengers of Death

Independent developer Team Vultures, alongside publisher Firesquid Games, has announced that Vultures – Scavengers of Death will launch a playable demo on Steam on February 12. It is a tactical turn-based survival horror game that takes place in a city consumed by a deadly outbreak. The game casts players as operatives of the elite VULTURES mercenary unit, tasked with scavenging an infested metropolis for supplies, intelligence, and clues that may lead to a cure.

Vultures - Scavengers of Death

Vultures – Scavengers of Death emphasizes careful planning and smart decision-making. Players control two agents, each featuring distinct combat styles, and can customize their loadouts before deploying on missions. Once inside hostile territory, survival depends on tactical choices. Not every encounter demands direct confrontation as stealth often proves just as effective. When combat becomes unavoidable, players must rely on turn-based tactics, targeting vital areas, disabling enemies, and using the environment to their advantage to escape alive with their objective.

The upcoming demo offers access to the game’s first mission, set inside a tense and claustrophobic police station. Players take control of Leopoldo, one of the game’s operatives, and gain access to three weapons: a combat knife, a pistol, and a shotgun. New players can expect an average playtime of around 45 minutes to complete the mission.

In this opening scenario, Leopoldo investigates the last known refuge of Thiago Schultz. He is a scientist formerly employed by the Eugenesys Corporation. Schultz disappeared one day before the outbreak, and the police station may hold critical records or evidence he left behind. What Leopoldo uncovers here could mark the first step toward uncovering the truth behind the catastrophe.
