An Apocalyptic Wild West Awaits in Exekiller
Paradark Studio has released a new three-minute gameplay overview for ExeKiller, offering a deeper look at its cyber western, action-adventure experience built around player choice and systemic freedom. The video debuted during the New Game+ Showcase 2026, highlighting key mechanics and the game’s distinctive setting.
In the game, players assume the role of Denzel Fenix, a licensed bounty hunter employed by the powerful Helion Corporation. His mission is to track down fugitives and extract their SOULs, digital implants used to surveil and control the population. This premise sets the stage for a morally charged narrative shaped by the player’s decisions.
Survival plays a central role in ExeKiller’s gameplay. Inventory space is limited, supplies are expensive, and the hostile wasteland poses constant threats. Radiation zones, deadly sandstorms, and extreme temperatures force players to carefully manage resources and prepare for environmental hazards as much as enemy encounters.
Combat is flexible and highly experimental. While guns are essential tools, players can also mix weapons, gadgets, cybernetic abilities, and environmental elements to handle situations creatively or bypass combat entirely. Cybernetic implants also enhance Denzel’s perception, allowing players to investigate environments, uncover hidden details, and piece together narrative clues without relying on traditional waypoint systems.
Missions are fully non-linear, offering clear objectives but no fixed solutions. Players can rely on stealth, dialogue, direct combat, or hybrid approaches, with choices influencing NPC reactions, story developments, and multiple endings.
ExeKiller is currently in active development for PC, with plans to release on consoles as well. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam as development continues.
