More Rewards and Challenges in Battlefield 6 and REDSEC
Battlefield Studios has announced an extension to Season 1 of Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC, pushing the launch of Season 2 to February 17. The Season 1 extension update will go live on January 20 and is designed to give the development team additional time to refine Season 2 based on community feedback.
As part of the extended season, players can look forward to new weekly challenges, continued access to the Season 1 Battle Pass, and the introduction of a brand-new Bonus Path. Launching on January 27, the Frostfire Bonus Path offers both free and premium rewards, including weapon and soldier customizations, XP boosts, and cosmetic items. Premium rewards are available to Season 1 Battle Pass owners, while free players can still earn items such as a Hardware XP Boost, a Vehicle Skin, and player card customizations.

The Frostfire Bonus Path runs alongside the existing Season 1 Battle Pass, allowing players to progress through both simultaneously without having to choose between them. Each tier requires 10 Bonus Path Points to unlock, with 110 points needed to complete the full path. Unlike previous Bonus Paths, players earn their progression exclusively through Weekly Challenges, with no Bonus Challenges included.
The update will also bring limited-time Valentine’s Day-themed content, featuring Daily Login Rewards and multiple Double XP Weekends throughout the extension period. In addition, the Season 1 extension update includes a range of gameplay updates and fixes, with full details available in the Game Updates section on the official Battlefield website.
