Explore the Galaxy in Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown
Daedalic Entertainment and developer gameXcite have announced that Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown will launch on February 18. The game will arrive simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. With this confirmation, Nintendo Switch 2 officially joins the platform lineup for a worldwide day-one release.
Preorders are now live for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, alongside the reveal of a Deluxe Edition that expands the game’s core experience. Players can choose between the standard edition and the digital deluxe version, both designed to appeal to longtime Star Trek fans and newcomers alike.

To coincide with the preorder launch, a free demo is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It features significant improvements based on community feedback. This updated demo delivers clearer UI presentation, more responsive ship controls, smoother combat pacing, and added guidance during crucial decision-making moments, helping new captains find their footing on the bridge. An updated PC demo on Steam and a Nintendo Switch 2 demo are planned for release soon.
The demo places players in a sector inspired by the iconic pilot episode, The Caretaker. It includes a guided tutorial and roughly an hour of gameplay. Captains will face the challenges of protecting their crew, managing resources, and maintaining course as their journey home begins.
For those seeking more depth, the Deluxe Edition introduces new missions, recruitable heroes, and advanced technologies inspired by key alien encounters in the Delta Quadrant. It is seamlessly woven into the main campaign for richer strategic and narrative possibilities. Rounding out the announcement, Daedalic and gameXcite released a new Combat Deep Dive video, highlighting Voyager’s captain-focused combat system. You can check it out right below.
