SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded Is Coming Out on 17th December

The Next Chapter of SPLITGATE Is on Its Way

1047 Games has revealed the next stage of its portal-based shooter during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted showcase. Titled SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded, this new version arrives free to play on December 17 for PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Windows, along with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The studio also announced a short documentary releasing on December 9 that highlights the evolution of the project, the renewed focus on arena-style combat, and the value of community feedback throughout development. A preview of the documentary is already available.

According to Design Director Josh Watson, the goal has been to rebuild SPLITGATE from the foundation, combining the strongest elements from both previous installments and refining the overall experience. Watson joined 1047 Games earlier this year, bringing experience from his time directing Rocket League.

Over the past year, the team held regular public tests, gathered broad community insight, and openly shared development changes. CEO Ian Proulx noted that this collective feedback guided the studio back toward a purer arena identity.

SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded introduces extensive updates. The game removes factions, abilities, and certain equipment to concentrate on fast, classic arena combat. The developers have redesigned the Progression as well as the Ranked system. Players can explore five new maps along with six reworked ones, as well as three new primary weapons and a new power weapon, the Railgun. New arena modes, improved playlist selection, and a Classic Arena mode that begins every match on equal footing further reinforce the return to the series’ core style.

Additionally, the team will reduce the store prices, make the Battle Pass more straightforward, and upgrade cosmetic quality. They will share additional details as the launch date approaches.
