Xbox Coming to College Football
Gaming sponsors in sports aren’t a new concept. Video game titles, studios, and consoles all make their appearance across the varying world of sports. However, for the first time one of the big consoles is entering the college football battlefield. Today, Xbox and ESPN are happy to announce that they will be sponsoring the first ever Xbox Bowl college football game. Taking place on Dec. 18 at 9 p.m. ET, the Bowl will see Missouri State vs. Arkansas State. A press release provides some more details about this first of event. Additionally, the release gives some words from Sean Johnson, Executive Director of the Bowl.

“We’re proud to welcome Xbox as the title sponsor of this bowl game as their brand aligns perfectly with the excitement and energy of college football and especially the Bowl Season,” says Johnson, “Plus, we couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to host two great football teams to experience the Xbox Bowl.”
According to the release, Xbox is aiming to bring their signature energy as sponsors of the game. They are hoping to make this bowl incredibly special and give fans , Xbox-themed moments and in-venue activations designed specifically for the bowl.
As for the bowl itself, Arkansas State is appearing in its third straight bowl game and are bowl eligible for the 13th time as an FBS member.
