Shape of Dreams Is Getting Mode Support and Better Late-Game Loop
After a strong debut in September, Lizard Smoothie is releasing a major Shape of Dreams update shaped by the community’s enthusiasm and steady involvement. Arriving today, the v1.1 update introduces full mod support, a demanding Hardcore Challenge mode, a secret boss encounter, and a wide range of balance adjustments that refine the overall experience. The studio describes this update as a meaningful response to the ideas and feedback players have shared since launch.
“As we reach the end of the year, we are publishing a huge update that takes player feedback and suggestions into consideration as a thank you for all the support we received at launch,” said Eunsop Shim, co-founder and CEO, Lizard Smoothie. “On top of the update, we have a festive seasonal event and a game discount coming later this month. We hope it brings a little more excitement to the holiday season.”
To mark the update, Shape of Dreams will hold an Update Celebration Sale from Wednesday, December 10 to Wednesday, December 17. During this period, newcomers will be able to pick up the action-focused roguelike for thirty percent off on Steam. Once this promotional offer ends, the title will join the Steam Winter Sale from Thursday, December 18 to Monday, January 5, allowing even more players to discover the game.
Lizard Smoothie’s work on Shape of Dreams has earned notable recognition in recent months. In November, the studio won the Best Developer Award and the Indie Game Award at the 2025 Korea Game Awards. The game is also nominated for the community-voted 2025 Steam Awards in the Better With Friends category, highlighting the team’s goal of creating an experience that connects with players around the world.
