Tavern Keeper Gets Major “We Dig Deeper” Update With More Room to Build

Time to Go Deeper in Tavern Keeper

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to return to your fantasy tavern, Greenheart Games has just delivered one. Tavern Keeper has received its second major update, titled “We Dig Deeper,” bringing more content, creative freedom, and plenty of new management challenges to the Early Access simulation.

The update expands the game’s mix of cozy tavern building and chaotic management, with its biggest campaign yet. This time, players will venture deep into the mountains of Domheim, where they’ll serve dwarven clans, keep demanding guests happy, deal with earthquakes, and help uncover an ancient artifact.

One of the biggest additions comes directly from community feedback. Tavern owners can now dig out cellars across all existing campaign levels, giving them more room to expand their taverns and experiment with new layouts. The update also introduces new HR responsibilities, giving players greater control over their staff and everyday workflows.

For those unfamiliar with Tavern Keeper, the game combines a massive decoration sandbox with a story-driven fantasy campaign. Players can build anything from a relaxing neighborhood tavern to a ruthlessly efficient money-making machine while exploring a world filled with different cultures and characters.

The German version also features full voice work from actor Matthias Matschke, adding even more personality to the campaign. To celebrate the new update, Tavern Keeper is currently available on Steam Early Access with a 30% discount.

With more space to build and a new mountain adventure to tackle, there’s never been a better time to grab a mug and get back behind the bar.
