Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth Demo Arrived on Steam During Day of the Devs

A Heartwarming Adventure Awaits in Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth

A small winter adventure in the world of the Moomins is now within reach. During the Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Digital Showcase, Hyper Games revealed that a short demo for Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is now available on Steam. It offers an early look at the gentle, story-focused experience inspired by Tove Jansson’s timeless creations.

The demo follows Moomintroll as he steps into a quiet winter landscape. His walk through the snow leads him to Sorry-oo, a lonely little dog who imagines himself as a wolf. After being pushed away by the pack he admires, Sorry-oo is left tired and unwell. Moomintroll decides to help him, beginning a slow trek across the frozen wilderness as the pair form an unexpected bond.

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is planned for release next year on PC and consoles. Players who want to explore the world early can try the demo now or request a code for additional access. Hyper Games also shared more details during the Day of the Devs 2025 segment, highlighting how the project builds on their earlier work.

From the team behind Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, this new title offers a warm, reflective journey shaped by the gentle atmosphere of Jansson’s stories. It is a cozy, puzzle-driven adventure that brings Moominvalley to life with careful attention to tone and detail. Although it follows in the footsteps of Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, it is not a direct continuation. Both games stand on their own, allowing players to enjoy them in any order.

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth invites players back into a familiar world through a fresh perspective, blending charm, calm exploration, and light problem-solving in a snowy setting.
