Get Ready for the Prequel in SANABI: A Haunted Day
SANABI: A Haunted Day is arriving on Nintendo Switch on January 15, bringing a new chapter of the SANABI universe to a wider audience. Published by NEOWIZ and developed by WONDER POTION, this 2D action platformer expansion follows the fan favorite character Major Song and will be available as a free digital download through the Nintendo eShop.

Serving as a prequel to the main game, A Haunted Day takes players back to an earlier period in Major Song’s life, long before the events of SANABI unfold. The story explores his first encounter with the Brigadier General and delves into the experiences that shaped his path. Players will navigate a dangerous robot junkyard filled with hidden secrets, environmental hazards, and intense platforming challenges, while uncovering key narrative details that deepen the overall lore of the series.
A representative from NEOWIZ shared that the Nintendo Switch release will allow even more players to experience this important chapter in the SANABI story. The team has been encouraged by the strong response already seen on Steam, where the DLC launched in November to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Players have highlighted the fast-paced aerial movement and fluid combat as standout features that make the experience both challenging and memorable.
To mark the upcoming Switch release, SANABI is currently part of the Steam Winter Sale. The main game is available at a 35% discount, with the soundtrack also discounted by 10% until January 5. Together, SANABI and A Haunted Day reflect NEOWIZ’s continued efforts to expand the SANABI IP while showcasing its growing presence in global game publishing.
