An Emotional Journey Awaits in Deer & Boy
Publisher Dear Villagers has partnered up with Maximum Entertainment to bring physical editions of Deer & Boy to players worldwide. Developed by LifeLine Games, the cinematic 2D platformer will receive physical releases on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch alongside its digital launch in 2026.
Through this collaboration, Deer & Boy will be available on disc and cartridge for collectors and fans. Pre-orders for the physical versions are now open at major retailers across EMEA, North America, and Australia, priced at €39.99, $39.99, and £34.99.
Each physical edition includes the complete game, allowing players to experience the full journey as intended by the developers. In addition, the package features the game’s original soundtrack and a digital artbook showcasing its distinctive visual style. As well as a physical poster inspired by the game’s emotional themes and hand-crafted environments.

The game tells a gentle and moving story about a young boy who runs away from home and becomes lost. During his journey, he encounters a frightened fawn, and the two form an unexpected bond. Together, they learn to rely on one another as they face fear, loneliness, and the challenges of survival. Along the way, they also discover strength through companionship and trust.
Deer & Boy is scheduled to launch in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and Nintendo Switch, offering a cinematic platforming experience shaped by emotion, atmosphere, and meaningful storytelling.
