A New Adventure Awaits in Gravity Circuit 2
Indie developer Domesticated Ant Games and publisher Dear Villagers have officially unveiled Gravity Circuit 2, a sequel to the critically acclaimed 2D action platformer. The follow-up is scheduled to launch in 2027 across PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, alongside PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
The announcement came out with a limited-time celebration, offering the original Gravity Circuit for free on Steam from June 1 to June 14, 2026, as part of the Dear Villagers Publisher Sale.
Set several years after the events of the first game, Gravity Circuit 2 returns players to a rebuilt Kernel City, now facing a fresh invasion led by a new Ark and the Hunter Army. Fan-favorite protagonist Kai makes his return, joined by a brand-new playable character named Cable. Players can choose between the two before each mission, offering flexibility in combat style.
Kai continues to specialize in close-range combat, while Cable introduces a more versatile, long-range approach. His abilities include projectile attacks, multi-jump strikes, and a unique mechanic that converts defeated enemies into scrap for ammunition. The sequel also expands gameplay depth with new Booster Chips and Burst Techniques, allowing players to customize abilities and stats. Defeating bosses rewards Circuit Shards, unlocking additional powers, and enhancing progression.
With intense platforming, new enemies, hidden secrets, and a returning soundtrack by Dominic Ninmark, Gravity Circuit 2 aims to build on its predecessor’s fast-paced action.
Overall, the sequel looks set to refine and expand the original formula. It promises to offer both returning fans and newcomers a more dynamic and feature-rich experience when it launches in 2027.
