and Roger Finally Caught Everyone’s Emotion
and Roger, the mysterious point-and-click slice of life visual novel from solo developer TearyHand Studio and publisher Kodansha Creators’ Lab, has received major recognition following its launch earlier this year on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. The title won the Emotional Impact Award at Six One Indie’s Indie Game Awards, marking a significant milestone.
In addition to the award win, and Roger has also earned a longlist nomination for BAFTA’s Game Beyond Entertainment category for the 2026 Awards. To celebrate these achievements, PC players can purchase the game at a 20% discount until 5th January.

The story begins on what should be an ordinary morning, but events quickly take an unsettling turn. A young girl discovers a strange man calmly resting inside her family home. Although he does not belong there, he behaves as though he has always been part of her life. His relaxed demeanor only deepens the unease, especially as he insists she follow her daily routine and take her medicine. As players guide the girl through simple, familiar tasks, fragments of truth slowly emerge, revealing clues about the man’s identity, her missing father, and the reality behind her circumstances.
and Roger delivers its narrative through interactive moments paired with high contrast, hand-drawn cartoon visuals that have resonated strongly with players around the world. Fans can also explore a behind-the-scenes interview with developer yona, who discusses the game’s artistic direction, narrative themes, and creative process.
Reflecting on the award, solo developer yona shared that this marks the first Western award for both and Roger and Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab, crediting Kodansha’s support as essential to the project’s success.
and Roger is available now on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $4.99, with language support including English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
