The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike Is Coming to Switch and PC in November

Immerse Yourself in The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike

The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike, a turn-based deckbuilder from MONO ENTERTAINMENT and publisher Kodansha, is bringing the acclaimed manga and anime series The Fable to PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

With more than 28 million copies in circulation and a film adaptation starring Jun’ichi Okada, The Fable now leaps into gaming with a creative twist. In this adaptation, fast-paced manga panels become strategic cards, dealt randomly for players to collect, rearrange, and place onto blank pages. Each move shapes a tactical sequence to overcome brutal battles.

Players will study opponents and arrange Attack, Defense, and Move panels to craft unique combat strategies. Close the distance for devastating strikes or brace defensively to evade advancing enemies. Every hit taken tears the page, turning skirmishes into tense, high-stakes encounters.

The game features key characters from the series, including Akira, a lethal hitman skilled in hand-to-hand combat and firearms. Yoko can ambush enemies from behind, while Suzuki deploys traps and debuffs to control the battlefield. Puzzle Mode raises the challenge with one-page battle scenarios, while mini games inspired by iconic manga moments, such as Playboy Kawai’s sake drinking contest, offer playful diversions.

“It is an honor to bring The Fable to a new format,” says mono, developer at MONO ENTERTAINMENT. “This game makes full use of the unique characteristics of manga while combining tactical puzzle elements with roguelike systems, creating a fresh new experience. Not only will fans of the series enjoy it, but even those unfamiliar with the series can feel the same tension and ingenuity of battles that the manga delivers.”

Launching with English and Japanese language options, The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike will be available on Steam and Nintendo Switch starting November 5, 2025.
