A Huge Milestone for BOKURA
The co-op only adventure BOKURA, developed by solo developer tokoronyori under Kodansha Games Creator’s Lab, has surpassed one million units sold worldwide. In celebration, both BOKURA and its sequel, BOKURA: planet, are available at their biggest discounts yet.
Available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, with a PlayStation release planned later this year, the game invites two players to step into the roles of childhood friends who wake in a strange new world after a mysterious incident. One sees nature, the other a landscape ruled by machines. Progress depends on communication and teamwork, as each player sees a different version of the world and must cooperate to solve puzzles, navigate hazards, and help others along the way.
The original BOKURA is now 70% off on Steam until August 14, 2025, and on Nintendo Switch until August 18. Its sequel, BOKURA: planet, which recently crossed 100000 units sold, is also 30% off on Steam through August 14.
“I would like to thank everyone who played the game and spread the word about it – hitting 1 million sales was only possible because of you!” says tokoronyori, the solo developer of the game. “Saying ‘one million copies sold’ seems simple, but when I think about how each of these one million people thought of someone they wanted to play with, it’s a wonderful feeling.
