Com2uS has confirmed the development of Gachiakuta: The Game, a new title based on the globally successful anime Gachiakuta. The project aims to expand the anime’s world through an immersive game experience built for modern platforms. The title is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Steam.
Gachiakuta tells the story of Rudo, a boy raised in the slums who resists a society shaped by oppression, discrimination, and extreme inequality. The anime has earned global recognition for its strong social themes, raw graffiti-inspired visuals, and intense action-driven direction. It recently ranked first in average viewership on Crunchyroll in the United States, Germany, and France, while also securing high rankings across major streaming platforms in Japan, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
Com2uS is transforming the anime’s atmosphere into a survival action RPG where players explore monster-infested zones, complete dangerous missions, and return to secure areas. The development team is focusing on fast-paced combat and striking visual design to reflect the anime’s identity. The game will support both console and PC environments. It will feature cel-shaded visuals, stylish character designs, and an original narrative.
On December 21, immediately after the broadcast of the anime’s second season finale in Japan, Com2uS released the first teaser through Japanese television and the game’s official YouTube channel. The video highlights key characters, signature visual elements, and the intense action players can expect.
Additionally, Com2uS continues to collaborate closely with Kodansha through multiple anime production committees, including Gachiakuta.
