New Quests and Features Are Coming to Digimon Story: Time Stranger

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has confirmed that the second season pass DLC for Digimon Story: Time Stranger will launch in January 2026. Developed by Media.Vision Inc., the RPG continues to build momentum after surpassing one million units sold worldwide. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The upcoming release, Additional Digimon and Episode Pack 2: GAKU RAN, expands the game with new Digivolution routes for several Mega Digimon. This includes BanchoLillymon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoGolemon, and BanchoMamemon. Alongside these additions, the DLC introduces a dedicated story quest that focuses on Hiroko Sagisaka. This will add a greater emotional depth and narrative context.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger stands as a confident evolution of the Digimon game lineage. It presents a fully realized RPG experience that appeals to both newcomers and long-time fans. The game requires ownership of the base version to access season pass DLC content.

Designed as an accessible entry point for RPG players, the game places both the human world and the Digital World Iliad on the brink of collapse. Players tame and partner with Digimon, forming lasting bonds while evolving their abilities to prevent total ruin. The journey spans multiple worlds and even crosses time itself, gradually uncovering unfamiliar aspects of Digimon lore.

In the game, players will recruit, train, and customize hundreds of Digimon, each with distinct skills and combat roles. Strategic, turn-based battles reward thoughtful team building and strong partnerships, pitting players against rival Digimon and towering bosses alike. With an engaging story, memorable characters, over 450 Digimon to discover, and refined combat systems, Digimon Story: Time Stranger represents a defining chapter for the series and a standout RPG experience.
