A Heartfelt Story Awaits in Goodnight Universe
Developer Nice Dream and publisher Skybound Games have announced that Goodnight Universe is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $19.99. This follow-up to Before Your Eyes already won Best International Game at SXSW Sydney. Moreover, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will soon receive camera support through an update, while the standard Switch release is set for December 18, 2025.
Additionally, physical editions for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 will launch on December 9 for $29.99. The pre-orders are now open through select global retailers. Each edition includes the full game, a digital soundtrack, and an artbook showcasing original artwork from the Nice Dream team.
From the BAFTA Award-winning creators of Before Your Eyes, Goodnight Universe tells the story of Isaac. He is a six-month-old baby discovering mysterious psychic abilities. As Isaac learns about his powers, he longs for love and acceptance from his family, even as a secretive tech corporation seeks to exploit him. The game builds on the team’s acclaimed camera-based design with a “camera as controller” feature. This allows players to interact through their eyes and facial expressions on compatible platforms.
The cast brings together a strong lineup of talent, with Lewis Pullman (Thunderbolts, Top Gun: Maverick) as Isaac, joined by Kerri Kenney Silver (Reno 911), Al Madrigal (The Daily Show), and Tessa Espinola (S.W.A.T.) as his family. Supporting roles include Beau Bridges (Homeland), Timothy Simons (VEEP), and Sarah Burns (Barry).
