Sword & Axe LLC, in collaboration with indie.io, has announced that Dark Deity 2, the highly praised sequel to the indie tactical RPG Dark Deity, will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 7, 2025. Following its strong debut on PC and Nintendo Switch, the game is ready to bring its striking pixel art, voice-acted storytelling, and deep tactical systems to console players.
Set 25 years after the first game, Dark Deity 2 returns to the realm of Verroa, once united by the Eternal Order but now threatened by a rising empire. Players will guide Gwyn and Riordian, descendants of the original heroes, as they lead the Eternal Delegation through a holy war that will decide the fate of kingdoms. Across 30 story-driven chapters, every tactical decision and relationship will shape the world’s future.
With 45 branching classes and a roster of unique warriors, players can experiment with countless strategies and team combinations, from summoning crocodiles to mastering cosmic magic. Each battle offers both challenge and consequence, ensuring that every victory and loss leaves a mark on the story.
The sequel also expands customization options with a new campaign suite that lets players adjust difficulty, recruitment order, and more, making each playthrough distinct. Featuring a fully voiced campaign with performances led by Allegra Clark (Apex Legends, Jujutsu Kaisen), the game continues the series’ legacy of heart, strategy, and storytelling.
