Check Out the Latest Devlog for Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds
Ocelot Technologies has shared a new development update for Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds, offering players a closer look at several features planned for the tactical RPG’s upcoming Version 1.0 release. The October devlog highlights a new Hero Mode, an explorable dungeon called the Archives, and additional abilities for three character schools. Meanwhile, players can pick up the game at a 20% discount during its current Steam Early Access sale.
Hero Mode is one of the biggest additions on the way, combining Tactician difficulty with a single-save system and modified encounters. The mode aims to make every decision count, forcing players to think carefully before entering battles. However, death won’t completely end a playthrough, as players can continue their adventure on Tactician difficulty.
The update also introduces the Archives, a sprawling dungeon set inside an ancient elven library. Beyond offering discoveries, the location will reveal important details about the main storyline, particularly the activities of the mysterious chronomancer, Thevyre.
Character progression is getting some attention, too. Rogues will gain Wraith, an ability that grants three turns of invisibility, while Pyromancers can use Chainfire Blast to send fireballs bouncing between enemies. Engineers, meanwhile, will receive Wildcard surfaces, which randomly take on the effects of other battlefield surfaces. Ocelot Technologies is targeting more than 200 skills for the full 1.0 release.
Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds remains available in Steam Early Access, with a free demo for those who want to try it first. With more content and meaningful gameplay challenges on the way, the upcoming 1.0 release is shaping up to be worth watching.
