Shape of Dreams Has Sold Over 500,000 Copies, a New Patch on Its Way

Welcome to the Shape of Dreams

Shape of Dreams has quickly emerged as one of the year’s breakout successes, with publisher NEOWIZ announcing that the action roguelite developed by Lizard Smoothie has surpassed 500,000 copies sold worldwide. The milestone comes just weeks after its launch on Steam on September 11, where the game sold 300,000 copies in its first week and has maintained strong momentum with an additional 200,000 copies sold since then. Sales have been powerful across both Asian regions, including Korea, China, and Japan, as well as in Western markets such as the United States, Canada, Germany, and France.

To thank its growing community, players who log in and redeem a special coupon code by October 12 will receive the Trinket of Nobility, an exclusive ornament for their Traveler. Players can find the code on the official Shape of Dreams Steam channel.

In addition to celebrating the milestone, a new patch is set to arrive on October 2. This update focuses on improving the game’s difficulty pacing, offering quicker runs and a smoother sense of progression. Lizard Smoothie also plans adjustments to combat balance, stability, and overall immersion. Quality of life improvements will include compensation for unexpected game dropouts and a long-requested cutscene skip feature, reflecting the team’s commitment to player feedback.

Eunsop Shim, co-founder and CEO of Lizard Smoothie, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response. He noted that the team is eager to refine the experience further through ongoing updates. With its mix of fast-paced roguelite action and community-driven improvements, Shape of Dreams is shaping up to be one of Steam’s standout hits of the season.

Shape of Dreams is currently available on Steam for $24.99. If you want to find out more about the game, check our official review right here.
