Dive Into a Demonic World in Grind Survivors
Assemble Entertainment has revealed Grind Survivors, an upcoming indie roguelike developed by Ukrainian developer Pushka Studios. Announced during Gamescom’s Awesome Indies showcase, the game blends the addictive loop of survivor-style gameplay with looter shooter progression, set against the backdrop of a scorched world overrun by demons. It will be available on PC and consoles in 2026, with release details following soon. In the meantime, a Steam playtest is live, giving players an early chance to test their skills.
Players take on the role of armored demon hunters, fighting across multiple biomes filled with monstrous threats. Each run offers fast-paced bullet hell action, procedurally generated loot, and dynamic character builds. Loot ranges from cursed relics to demon forged weaponry, and players can enhance them in The Forge. It is a high-stakes crafting hub where players merge, reroll, or destroy items in the pursuit of ultimate firepower.
“Grind Survivors takes the survivors genre and makes it more extreme in every way – more action, more chaos, more everything,” said Kirill Mukhin of Pushka Studios. “After years of working on various games and porting projects, we’re thrilled to finally present our very first original title – a game that channels our creativity, passion, and love for making unforgettable gameplay moments.”
The announcement was part of Assemble Entertainment’s presence at gamescom 2025, where the publisher is showcasing a wide variety of indie titles. Alongside Grind Survivors, fans can explore new strategy-driven deckbuilders, mythological adventures, survival horror experiences, and classic couch co op titles. Together, they highlight the publisher’s commitment to delivering diverse and memorable indie experiences.
