Step into the mystical, feline world of Kristala, now available in Early Access with a playable demo on the Epic Games Store. Developed by Astral Clocktower Studios, this indie soulslike adventure blends fast-paced combat, rich lore, and a unique feline protagonist to create a haunting yet magical experience. Set in the dark fantasy realm of Ailur, Kristala follows a warrior from the catlike Anagativan race, chosen to master elemental magic across six powerful clans. As the “chosen Kristalan,” players will face brutal monsters born from ancient curses and unravel long-lost secrets. All while proving their strength in a world teetering on the edge of chaos.
The game features a challenging combat system inspired by Dark Souls and Sekiro, where precision, timing, and strategy are key. Players can unleash light and heavy attacks, execute perfect parries and dodges, and even perform devastating aerial finishers.
Customization plays a central role. Players can choose their clan, fur color, length, and starting class, all of which influence their playstyle. The feline warriors also possess unique traversal and stealth abilities, enhanced further through a dedicated Feline Skill tree.
Magic is central to gameplay, with each clan drawing power from one of the Sacred Six Kristals. A robust magic system allows players to unlock and tailor spells along branching upgrade paths.
With its dark, emotional storytelling, atmospheric setting, and immersive worldbuilding, Kristala invites players to explore a land shaped by prophecy and plagued by corruption.
