Music and Mayhem Awaits in Dead As Disco
Dead As Disco has officially stepped onto the stage, with its stylish rhythm brawler gameplay now available in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developed by Brain Jar Games, the title has already gained strong attention online, and players can now experience its music-driven combat firsthand.
The game launches at $24.99, with a limited two-week discount bringing the price down to $19.99. According to the developers, this is the lowest price players can expect until well after the full 1.0 release. Fans can also grab the official soundtrack separately or as part of a bundle.
At its core, Dead As Disco blends fast-paced beat ’em up action with rhythm-based mechanics. Every fight feels like a live performance, set in a neon-lit world where enemies and environments react to the beat. The Early Access version introduces the first arc of its narrative campaign, alongside over 30 songs and a variety of gameplay systems.
Players can face off against four major Idols, each with distinct personalities and abilities. This includes a fallen punk enforcer, a data-driven AI pop star, a cybernetic guitarist, and a powerful industry kingmaker. Beyond the story, there is also an Infinite Disco mode that offers replayable challenges. Also, players can enjoy the “My Music” feature, which allows them to use their own tracks to create custom battles. Additional features include skill trees, character customization, and global leaderboards, giving players plenty to explore and master.
With its unique mix of music and combat, Dead As Disco makes a strong first impression in Early Access, setting the stage for an even bigger full release ahead.
