Cattle Country Just Got Bigger
Castle Pixel and Playtonic Friends have rolled out ‘Beneath and Beyond’, a major free update for Cattle Country, now available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. This cozy frontier life sim just got bigger, adding new ways for players to explore the wild and work the land.
The update introduces an expanded mining system that lets players dig deeper into the terrain. With this feature, they will be discovering rare minerals, environmental hazards, and long-lost bandit treasures. Hidden objects like ladders, torches, and dynamite now offer new tools for underground exploration, while numerous quality of life upgrades and bug fixes enhance everyday ranching.
But it is not all about life underground. Plenty of new features brighten up the world above, too. The Hay Dropper now feeds your livestock automatically, saving time and effort. A new Scratch Post keeps barn and coop animals happy, while Aquariums let players showcase their best fish catches at home.
Another highlight is the Horse Whistle Tune, which allows players to call their horse from a distance. It is perfect for long rides across the open prairie. For anglers, the once unavailable Walleye Fish can now be caught in spring and fall, adding to the game’s growing list of seasonal activities.
From first-time players to longtime ranchers, Beneath and Beyond deepens the adventure on all fronts. With more to build, discover, and enjoy, it is a perfect time to return to the frontier. The update is free and available now across all platforms. For the full list of features and fixes, visit the official community post.
