More Tactical Depth for Enlisted
Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software have launched “Forest Shadows,” a major update for the online military shooter Enlisted. The update also enriches the game’s tactical depth with new weapons, vehicles, map expansions, and significant visual enhancements.

The centerpiece of the update is a new version of the Seelow Heights map, now featuring a dense, forested area inspired by the Brandenburg region. The newly introduced “Wald” mission shifts the focus to close-quarters combat, with firefights taking place in the forest undergrowth, narrow village streets, and surrounding terrain. It is available across Confrontation, Destruction, and Invasion modes, requiring players to adapt quickly to shifting threats.
Joining the battle are two elite squads. British commandos arrive with Thompson M1 submachine guns, while German Werwolves, a covert operations unit, wield suppressed StG 44 rifles and wear specialized camouflage gear, both suited for the forest setting.
Players can also explore four new weapons and five new vehicles, offering expanded loadout possibilities and strategic options. Additionally, soldier nationalities are now customizable. Axis troops can take on German or Italian identities, while Allied soldiers can appear as American or British, with matching voices, names, and visual designs.
Forest Shadows also revamps the game’s effects system. Gunfire now creates more realistic impact visuals, and explosions from bombs to tank shells are more dramatic than before. Ricochets behave more authentically, and updated sound effects bring greater intensity to every moment. Even air battles benefit, with improved visuals for anti-aircraft fire and dogfights enhancing the atmosphere overhead.
This update delivers a more immersive and flexible experience for Enlisted players seeking historical depth and dynamic action.
