A New Story Awaits in Broken Ranks
Whitemoon Games has launched The Other Side, a story-driven update for their isometric MMORPG Broken Ranks. This new chapter takes players into uncharted territory, inside the world of the game’s long-time enemy, the Utorian army.
For the first time, players won’t be battling the Utor from the outside but will step into their boots as ordinary recruits. This shift in perspective brings not only new environments and challenges but also a more personal, psychological test. Players will experience the daily routines, strict hierarchies, and internal conflicts of the Utorian ranks, navigating a world where every decision could offer opportunity or lead to ruin.
The developers say they wanted to shed light on the side of the conflict that players have only glimpsed. Until now, the Utor have been known primarily as merciless invaders who seized the land of Taern. Though players have fought against their forces and uncovered parts of their plans, The Other Side offers a deeper look into what motivates them and the dark magic behind their power.
The update also introduces visual additions. Players can earn the Helmet of the Silent by completing the new storyline chapter, while the matching Body Armor of the Silent is available for purchase in the in-game store. Both reflect the grim, militaristic style of the Utorian army.
