This update follows a previous patch from November 2024 and includes several general fixes aimed at improving gameplay. Key issues resolved include a bug that blocked players from earning the “Defeat Imposter Bowser for the first time” achievement, and a glitch that caused the game to freeze during specific operations in the Party-Planner Trek mode. Additionally, Nintendo has addressed problems where CPU characters could be unexpectedly controlled by unused connected controllers during certain minigames.

Other notable fixes include a Thwomp-related bug in Jr.’s Jauntlet that pushed players out of bounds, and a scoring issue in the Three Throw minigame. The update also corrects a problem that caused the Mushroom Tickets item to disappear after a single use under specific conditions.

To apply the patch, players can either launch the game directly from the home menu or manually update it through the software settings.

The Version 2.0.0 update is part of a larger initiative by Nintendo to prepare top-tier titles for the Switch 2 with both free and paid enhancements. Updates to Super Mario Party Jamboree arrive alongside similar improvements for games like Mario Kart World, signaling Nintendo’s commitment to keeping its multiplayer experiences fresh and polished for the future.
