Mario Kart World Video Review
The Mario Kart series has gone from strength to strength, with Mario Kart 8 being a highlight of the franchise. Originally released on the Wii U, the game found new success when it launched on the Switch with several new tracks, which helped to build a thriving online community. So, how can you top it? Well, how about making it open world?
Although mechanically familiar, Mario Kart World adds more to its courses, which helps to make this iteration different from the previous. Rather than racing around a track for a number of laps, some races are on the road to the track, making the courses feel more connected. This is further accentuated with the open world, which is covered with challenges and secrets. Throw in a range of addictive online modes and you can see that Nintendo is on to a winner.
