JDM: Japanese Drift Master Gets Major Update With Multiplayer Events and New Story Campaign

JDM: Japanese Drift Master Just Got Bigger and Better

Gaming Factory has released a major new update for JDM: Japanese Drift Master, bringing fresh content, multiplayer racing, and a long list of community-requested improvements. While PC players can jump into all of the new features today, console players will receive the new story content and bug fixes immediately, with the multiplayer update arriving at a later date.

The biggest addition is Multiplayer Events, which introduce 15 different races for PC players. Drivers can join events directly from the open world or through the game’s main menu. The update includes traditional Grip Races, where up to eight players compete to reach the finish line first, Drift Races that reward the highest drift scores, and intense 1v1 Challenges centered around touge and drift touge competitions.

Players will race across a variety of locations, including the Haikama Lake Drift event, the fast-paced Highway Grip race that spans much of the Guntama map, and the challenging Tofuna Uphill and Downhill routes, which feature tight mountain roads designed to test both speed and precision.

The update also expands the single-player experience with a free Side Story Campaign focused on Ayumi. The new chapter adds eight story-driven events presented through manga-style panels. Players who complete the campaign will unlock Ayumi’s exclusive car as a reward. Players on every platform can access this content at no extra cost.

Alongside the new content, Gaming Factory has also rolled out numerous bug fixes and gameplay improvements. PlayStation 5 players using Fanatec steering wheels can now enjoy basic wheel support, while multiplayer support for consoles is expected to arrive soon.

Overall, this update adds plenty of reasons for both new and returning players to get back behind the wheel, with even more content on the horizon for console racers.
