Visit the Taverns in Cat Quest III
Cat Quest III has rolled out a free update, now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Titled Tavern Tales, the update brings a fresh wave of challenges for both returning players and curious newcomers.
The game now lets players visit the in-game tavern to take on legendary boss battles, retold with wild exaggerations and surprising twists. Unique gameplay modifiers enhance each encounter and raise the difficulty. Expect meteor showers during the Boar King fight or electrifying pulses during Captain Meowtallika’s concert. Every victory against these altered foes unlocks new companions, including Beakon, a parrot who deals sweeping damage with mid-air dives.
For those who conquer all revamped battles, a secret final encounter awaits, offering the ultimate test of skill. New players can jump in at a discount, as Cat Quest III is 40 percent off on Steam until July 10, 2025.
This update also follows the announcement that Cat Quest III will release on iPhone, iPad, and Mac on August 8, 2025. The mobile version will include all content from the PC and console editions, including today’s update, and will support touch controls and Game Center features. Pre-orders are now available on the App Store.
