Unbroken: The Awakening Unleashes Its Wildest Update Yet – The 3rd Moon

Check Out What’s New in Unbroken: The Awakening

Unbroken: The Awakening pushes deeper into its brutal, jazzpunk-inspired chaos with the release of the 3rd Moon Content Update, now live on PC via Steam Early Access. Developed by solo creator MGP Studios, this first-person action-adventure continues to expand the fractured world of Crests Edge with its boldest update yet.

At the center of the update is a vast new area, a long-feared path now expanded with treacherous routes, hidden lore, and warped events that reveal unsettling truths about the Betrothed and the source of madness. The 3rd Moon doesn’t just reshape the world, it infects it.

One of the standout additions is the Madness system, a twisted evolution of a fan-favorite mechanic from Neckbreak. As the 3rd Moon rises, players must navigate emotional strain and distorted memories. Temporary relief through sanctuary, seduction, or the infamous Welson’s Dew offers brief clarity, but spiraling too far invites dangerous consequences. When the 3rd Moon Feast begins, the game shifts entirely, blurring the lines between reality and delusion.

The update also packs a wide range of new content. Players will explore fresh areas like Krankenstieg, face new enemies including cultists and rival gangs, and wield destructive new tools like proximity mines and the Lobster grenade launcher. New characters such as Gilroy, the craftsman of Steinburg Market, and Brimley, a shady valuables dealer, add even more personality to this strange world.

The 3rd Moon is here, and survival just became far more complicated. You can check out the full patch notes on the official Steam community changelog.
