Splatoon 3 Has Been Updated to Version 10.0.1

Some Fixes for Splatoon 3

Nintendo has rolled out a fresh update for Splatoon 3, addressing various bugs and gameplay issues following the major update earlier this month. The game now runs on Version 10.0.1, with improvements aimed at refining overall performance and multiplayer balance.

According to Nintendo’s official patch notes, the update resolves a significant performance issue where the game would slow down when multiple characters and shots appeared on screen. With this fix, gameplay speed has returned to the levels seen in Version 9.3.0, ensuring smoother battles.

Several specific bugs in the Urchin Underpass stage have also been corrected. In multiplayer, players were previously able to climb parts of the outer stage boundary using unintended methods. In Tower Control mode, a bug sometimes caused players to clip into the terrain. Rainmaker mode saw fixes to an issue where the goal distance failed to update smoothly in certain areas.

Additionally, the SplatNet 3 companion app received a minor fix: the “Next Freshness Up” display now correctly appears in Weapon Data.

While this update focuses mainly on stability and gameplay fixes, Nintendo has also teased more for Splatoon fans. A new spin-off titled Splatoon Raiders is currently in development and will launch exclusively on the upcoming Switch 2 console.

With this patch, Splatoon 3 continues to improve its core experience while setting the stage for the franchise’s next chapter.
