SPINE Reveals New Trailer, Confirms Nintendo Switch 2 Release

Become an Action Icon in SPINE

During today’s Twitch Galaxies showcase, developer and publisher Nekki unveiled a new gameplay trailer for SPINE. Originally announced for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the game is now also targeting the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This will allow it to reach even more players. The game has already gained strong interest, with over 400,000 wishlists across all platforms.

The latest trailer highlights SPINE’s signature Freeflow Gun Fu combat. Players control Redline, a skilled fighter moving fluidly through combat. She can chain together parries, disarms, and weapon reversals in one sequence. The environment joins the action: slam enemies, toss them, or improvise with melee. Each battle feels unique, emphasizing movement, creativity, and precision timing.

“Freeflow Gun Fu combat means constant tactical awareness – both of your enemies and of the surroundings in which you fight,” said Dmitry Pimenov, Game Director of SPINE. “For us, everything comes back to that cinematic experience, while always giving players complete control. We want to make players feel like both the star and the director of their own action movie, rewarding them with opportunities for creative takedowns by mastering the combo system and the environment, and showcasing their combos with dynamic camera angles to immerse them in the action.”

Also revealed for the first time is the game’s Hardcore Mode—a punishing twist on the no-hit challenge. In this mode, Redline wears sunglasses that remain intact only if the player avoids all incoming damage throughout the game. It’s a stylish way to push experienced players to their limits, offering a new layer of intensity and cinematic flair.

With a striking visual style, fluid action, and a growing community of eager fans, this game is shaping up to be a standout in the action genre.
