Embark on an Epic Adventure in The Weird Dream
Developer Shanghai AmberDragon and publisher WhisperGames are delighted to announce that their new title The Weird Dream is arriving tomorrow on Steam. A free demo version is already available on the platform for everyone to try out. Additionally, the game is also coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
The Weird Dream is a 2D Metroidvania game that takes place in the ruins of Alpha City. It takes huge inspiration from other great titles like Castlevania, Metroid, Dead Cells, and Hollow Knight. The game offers a brand-new experience in a carefully handcrafted fantasy world.
You wake up one day and realize that you are no longer like your old self. Your appearance has changed drastically into a rabbit, and now you have long ears, fluffy fur, and a bunny tail. To make things worse, the once-familiar Alpha City has fallen to ruins and monsters are overrunning the place.
As a chainsaw-wielding bunny, you must embark on an epic journey to discover the cause of the mutation and the city’s destruction. Traverse through dangerous environments, all the while confronting mutated habitants of the city. The place also holds many legends about the origin of the Astral Lord. Yet they all share a common detail: the Astral Lord answers sincere prayers and fulfills every desire.
The game will be available in English and Simplified Chinese at the launch. Other languages like Japanese will be integrated in future updates.
