Ahoy, Physical Treasure Awaits
A sea of fools is often a sea of friends. Now, you can look forward to sailing this sea with a physical copy. It’s time to restore the light house and sail into the storm. Today, Ika Productions and Team17 are excited to announce that their co-op roguelite, Ship of Fools, is releasing a physical edition on January 11th. Releasing for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, the game will have 4000 copies for the Switch and only 1000 for the PlayStation. the game invites players to sail on their very own ship alongside their friends on a quest to restore the Great Lighthouse.Â
Ship of Fools lets a player and a friend embark on a high seas adventure. Full of crazy antics and silly situations, players captain their very own ships. However, keeping them afloat is easier said than done. The sea is full of dangerous monsters that seek to drag you and your first mate to Davy Jones’ locker. Importantly, the game features fast-paced ship combat. In the middle of battle players must ensure that they load the cannons, fix holes in their ship the Stormstrider, and navigate their way out of danger.Â
Recently, Ship of Fools even got a free update, titled “Fish and Ships”. The update introduces Otto the Reverse Kraken, and even more challenges alongside a new story.
