Stop a Massive Invasion in MechWarrior 5: Clans
Gamer get ready to pilot your mechs! Piranha Games just announced that MechWarrior 5: Clans will blast its way to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in 2024. However, they did not provide any details on the specific consoles.
MechWarrior 5: Clans is a standalone expansion to the 2019 game MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. The game takes place during the Clan Invasion, a pivotal conflict in the BattleTech universe. The Clans are a technologically advanced warrior culture from beyond the Inner Sphere, and their invasion is a major threat to humanity.
Players will take on the role of a young pilot who just graduated after intensive training on Huntress, the Smoke Jaguar homeworld. And become a member of the five-mech squad, known as a “Star”. They will lead their lance of Mechs into Operation REVIVAL and battle against the Inner Sphere forces to reclaim their homeland and the future of their people.
The game will feature a linear campaign, as well as a new progression and customization system for Mechs. Players will be able to alter their Mech load-outs with expansive customization through an updated Mech lab, Hardpoint, and Omnipod system. Adaptability to the scenario at hand will be key to a strategic victory.
It will also include a variety of new Mechs, weapons, and equipment, all based on the BattleTech lore. Not only that, we will get to ride the iconic Clan Mechs such as the Timber Wolf, Mad Cat, and Nova Cat, as well as new Mechs that are making their debut in MechWarrior 5: Clans.
