AMC’s The Walking Dead ran for 11 seasons. Some say that was too long, but it spawned several spin-offs and brought a lot of popularity to the franchise. If you were a fan in the early days of the show, you may be intrigued by The Walking Dead Destinies.
Earlier today, GameMill Entertainment announced this game with a short trailer. You will notice that the characters are depicted as they appear in AMC’s show. Characters, like Daryl Dixon, who were created specifically for the show also appear. The most interesting feature of the game is that the story does not have to unfold like as it did in the show.
In The Walking Dead Destinies, players will be allowed to choose how major conflicts are resolved. In the announcement trailer, the game recreates the final confrontation between Rick and Shane. Rick killed Shane in the show, but things can go differently if you so choose.

The Walking Dead Destinies will not cover the entirety of the show. It will reportedly encompass the events of seasons 1-4. This includes locations like Hershel’s farm, the prison, and the conflict with the Governor. If it is received well, perhaps a sequel covering a few other seasons could be in the cards.
There is no official release date for The Walking Dead Destinies. It will launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
