There are several new things to look forward to in Season 6. The game is all about he heroes, so check out Illari. This Support Hero appears to have a cannon as her main weapon. With each shot, she draws energy into her hand and loads her cannon with it. Illari also has a device she can stick to surfaces to remotely buff teammates.

Season 6 will also introduce the Flashpoint game mode to Overwatch 2. This is a King of the Hill-type mode, where the two teams must capture three of the zones in the area to win. Flashpoint will have larger maps than any other mode.

Two maps will launch specifically for Flashpoint. Suravasa and New Junk City will be the only two maps to play this mode in at launch, but hopefully more will be added in the future.

In September, Overwatch 2 will be launching the Hero Mastery mode. These will be solo missions in training arenas. Here, players will be able to learn how to successfully use and implement a hero’s skills at their own pace.

Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Invasion begins on August 10th.
