Alan Wake 2 Pre-Order and Deluxe Edition Write-in Digital Content

Can Books Have DLC?

It has been 13 years in the making, but Alan Wake 2 is finally on its way. Remedy Entertainment has already announced that they have no plans for a physical release of the game, though there is interest from other parties. That news kind of quashes the hope for a physical collector’s edition, but there is still digital content to be had.

With a release date nailed down, pre-orders have gone live for the standard and Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake 2. Most of the bonus content is cosmetic, but there is also the two expansions that are included in the Deluxe Edition. Whether that is worth the extra cash is up to you.

Alan Wake 2

Pre-ordering either the standard or Deluxe Edition will get you a couple of items. For Alan, you will get the Ornate Revolver Skin. For Saga, you get the Survival Resources Pack. Judging from the image, the Survival Resource Pack will come with a coffee mug charm, painkillers, a first aid kit, and a flare.

The Deluxe Edition comes with the Crimson Windbreaker, the Nordic Shotgun Skin, and Lantern Charm for Saga. Keep in mind, the Nordic Shotgun Skin is part of one of the expansions, so it probably won’t be available at launch. For Alan, you will get the Celebrity Suit and the Parliament Shotgun Skin.

In Alan Wake 2, players can take on the roles of both Alan and a new character Saga. Saga Anderson is an FBI agent who gets trapped inside a horror story written by Alan.

Alan Wake 2 will be coming out on October 17th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
