Are You a Sucker For Love?
Video games are unique. One of the reasons is that there are opportunities for players to love undead creatures, normally a crime in most states. In a unholy mix of Metroidvania, dating-sim, and parody, we get the surprisingly charming Romancelvania.
For the past couple of years, The Deep End Games has been working on this title after getting it kickstarted. You play as Drac, a contestant on a reality dating show called Love at First Bite. Other contestants and potential monster mashers include a genie, succubus, gorgon, and werewolf, among others.
The gameplay shifts between dating-sim dialogue options to side-scrolling, 2D platformer combat. A gameplay video from two years ago shows off different weapons, powers, and locations shown off, but who knows exactly how much has changed since then. If you are interested, you won’t have to wait long. Romancelvania is expected to come out in just a few weeks.

If you are a gamer of variety or lover of variety, there are a bunch of options available to you in this game. Hopefully, this means there are different endings depending on who you pursue and if you are suck-cessful or not.
Romancelvania is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 7th. It will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store.
